Chapter 01
Glass damage is usually part of a bigger claim
Glass rarely breaks on its own here. It comes in with accident damage or road debris, alongside panel and trim work, which means it belongs inside the same repair plan rather than being sent off as a separate errand.
We coordinate the glass work as part of the repair, and when glass damage is part of the insurance claim we handle that communication with it.

What sits behind the windshield now
A modern windshield is a mounting surface. Cameras and sensors sit behind it, mouldings locate it, and water sealing depends on it being set correctly. Repair planning has to consider all of that rather than treating the glass as a pane.
That is the reason glass is planned with the rest of the repair. A camera that is aimed through a screen has to be considered when that screen is disturbed.
Chapter 03
Seals and trim are the part people forget
Coordination covers damaged windshields, side glass, back glass, seals and trim. The seals and trim are what most often get overlooked, and they are what you notice later, as wind noise or as water somewhere it should not be.
Getting the sealing right at the time is far cheaper than chasing a leak through a headliner in six months.
Glass is coordinated as part of the collision repair, with insurance communication handled when it forms part of the claim.
